Revo/TnT Fueling needs

Sorry if this is a stupid question....I have an AD150 (w 30psi spring) and Smarty....

If i run Revo or TnT Level 7 or 9 (with tq mgmt 3, rp 2, timing 2/3)...normal moderate accelleration will cause my rp to drop down quite a bit before it picks back up.....

If i back the the tq mgmt to 2 and rp to 1 it ramps pressure normally (but i dont like the power curve...too bland unless you floor it).
If i run beta 4.4 it ramps pressure normally.

Is the Revo / TnT just asking for more fule than my CP3 can deliver? Hence the pressure drop? Do i need a beefed up CP3 that can flow more? Why does Beta 4.4 which has heavy fueling on the bottom (hence boost from hell and smoke) work fine but the revo or tnt doesnt?

What do others see for pressure drop with Revo / TnT...

I run Tim-2/TQ-2/RP-2 on SW-9 all the time, & don't have any problems. TQ-3 was too touchy for when it rains.(which is a lot). Haven't tried RP-3, but I might this summer. I can still hold 24K RP @ WOT. I had my friend @ the dealer plug in his diag-comp to test it just last week, 'till I get my RP gauge next week. Also my TQ curve seems to be fine too as I can fry the tires @ 50mph+ when it rains, & will get a little squirly on dry pavement when the T/C locks @ WOT.

Well, just got it on against a caddy escellaide with new tags...beta 4.4 hit 25390 psi and about 45psi boost....runnin good....ate him alive.

But i guess that's what get's me with Revo / TnT....no way i can see either of those two values with it..i guess i just dont have the fuel to support the higher levels....too much duration for my truck i suppose....

Wish there was something in between 4.4 and Revo (in terms of duration programming).....i love 4.4, but i cant drive around at 20kpsi all the time or my cp3/injectors are gonna take a dive....i can't run TnT as i surely dont have the fuel / dont have springs...so that leaves me with Revo...i'm with you big wheels....Level 9, tq mgmt 3 (min rain in az), rp2 (rail safe), Timming 2 (i like 3 better for the boost curve, but it cuts out on the top end)....

I put the II Bag of parts pump kit on and have not had any drop in rail pressure, even when I had the 1.8's in.

For that "bridge" you speak of, beta 4.2 is probably as close to one as you'll get, although for my money I am guessing it is pretty close to Tnt.

From the data you describe, I'd say you need the cp3 mod. Remember all trucks are a little different and it sounds like you just need a little something more to make it all good.

I have the arson II cp3 mod, and it holds me steady at 26k with 2.5's and the regular revo tune.

Good stuff, thanks for the feedback...definately going to try the Arson2....it's good to know it appears it can hold at least the standard revo rail pressure steady (and even with bigger injectors than i plan on doing)....hoping that the combo of Arson 2 and the HTT Turbo will get me where i want to be....for now of course.

Good luck with that.

Where do you want to be?

If you do the arson kit, I can give you some details to make life a little less painful...

Ultimately, i'm just shooting for 500-550hp....but going in stages as $'s allow

Next week or two: HTT Turbo + Arson 2

Round 2 Flux 1.5's (approx, not sure on which) + probably upgrade to a full stage 3 CP3

Round 3 MPI Twins

Eventually upgrade the susp with 2.5" shocks, towers, 3" springs

"If you do the arson kit, I can give you some details to make life a little less painful..." ....i'm all ears, always willing to listen to those that have gone before me.
