I order one of these off Ebay. They claimed it worked on Dodge Rams but did not state years. Well I found out the hard way they do not. The hole that allows you to drop the spare is in the way. Well ofcourse after I stuck it on the tailgate would not drop all the way. While adjusting trying to adjust it. I dropped the tailgate Dented the corner and had to bend it out to get it back on. Ruined the paint in the corner The only positive thing is once I bring my truck to a body shop I will have a srt-10 hood put on or a good hood . BUT DAMM I HATE SCRATCHING MY TRUCK!!!!

 

i have the recon line of fire-which i ordered from recon accessories. it will block the spare tire hole alittle- you need to mount it down alittle to clear the tailgate. i have had mine on for six months-no trouble!-no rubbing! if you can't get the bar in the hole precisely to let down the spare. you need to undo the one screw to slightly move the light bar!

 

I was so mad at it. I ripped it off and bent it in half!!!!!!! So I do not think I will be ordering another one!

big dave gets kinda excited doesnt he? sorry about the tailgate, but how much $ got wasted demolishing the light bar?

 

I ended up mounting mine with sheet metal screws and threw away the mounting tabs.

 

i mounted mine the same way. i also moded the spare tire crank hole.

 

Mine is holding well, but I lost my spare tire to my 5" exhaust so no hole cover up issues !

 

My left turn/brake quit working last week after only having it for a month. I go the reverse lights also. Looks cool just wish it worked all of the time.

 

Just $40 and it was well worth it!!!! It caused me to scratch and dent my truck
