Raptor fuel pump 2007 5.9 issues
Alright this is long and drawn out but it's the only way I know how to explain it. I have an 07 cummins 5.9 with a raptor 150 fuel pump (it was on it when I bought it) I changed the batteries a while back and now It is making a humming noise that's exremely loud. And it fluctuates and as it fluctuates the lights dim and brighten in the cab. And with all that I put some hids in it and with the truck off I can turn the headlights on and the lows work fine but when I crank it and the humming starts from the fuel pump the lows won't work but the highs will. So I am at a loss. I have no clue where to start looking. So please help!

You will need a capacitor kit for your hids to work. They don't draw enough amperage so your computer thinks you have a bulb out and kills the power on low beam. As for your fuel pump they will get louder as they age. Mine buzzed for a few years on and off before it quit.

Sometimes the capacitor isn't enough to fool the TIPM. Add a load resistor, say 8 ohms 25w to the low beam circuit. I had to add a load resistor to my Dad's '07.5 to get the HID's to work correctly.
Raptor pumps can get noisy. Check the inlet screen on the pump. Could be getting clogged with debris.
