Raptor 150 install help!

We are in the middle of installing the raptor 150 and we were under the impression that we would reuse the factory draw straw. it's an 04.5 with the filter housing mounted lift pump that has failed. instuctions state that we need to pull the bed and drill. do we have to do that?

HELP! needs done tonight.

No, you do not need to drill with the raptor...

Hold on, getting you pictures. I've done this a few times...

The instruction manual was pretty clear... what's the problem? Are you sure you have the raptor? (pictured above)

what is that fitting on the fuel tank?

Also we removed the old lift pump on the fuel filter canister and found no threads to put that fitting in the filter canister. i looked at my early 04 dodge and i have a threaded plate back there, what are we supposed to do there?

The Raptor kit is supposed to come with an adapter if you ordered the right kit. The original fuel pump was mounted on with two screws. The adapter has a nipple with an o-ring on it, and the two screws mount on the sides.

You may have ordered a kit for a truck that has an in tank pump.

I'm good, man. Just pass it down the line...

Unless you live next to the northern border, and can get some of that strong stuff from Cananda... lol

madhat to the rescue again!!!! I copied your pictures to use when I get reunited with my truck in Sept. I suppose its the same for the Raptor RP100 (it arrived in CA and is supposedly sitting in the truck). Didn’t know I had to put a new line all the way to the tank. Thought I could just use the old line. How do you keep it from getting covered in dirt? Does it hurt it to run it through water (i have a problem with that).

Cant believe you turned down free beer!!!!

I was just being nice, Bark... Helping the DTR members is good enough for me!

It is the same for the 100. It is a very easy install, and yes, you do need to run the lines all the way.

If you mount it on the inside of the frame rail, the dirt is not bad at all. With mine being on the outside of the frame rail, it'll get mud on it, so I hose it off when I go off road. It won't hurt the filters to get them dirty, but you need to keep the motor cleaned off. If you go through mud a lot, I'd consider making a shield to keep the stuff from the front tire off of it.

I do not know about the pump being submerged. I do not think that you could submerge the pump. If you need to know, I can find out for you, but I got 20 bucks that says the pump cannot be underwater.

However, I would think that if you have just the raptor, that you would not want to go that deep, due to the fact the fan and door jams would be under water too...

well we got the problem figured out... now we are struggling with getting the right parts... seems as though no one wants to talk to us or send us the parts. kinda frustrating when it wasn't our mistake and now the truck is down.

Sorry you are not back on the road yet. Who did you buy the pump through?
