Question on pressure for X2 XZT, Maybe qzilla will chime in.
This is for a 2006 325/610.
If I tune my X2 XZT with just the stacking pressure only tune how much Hp will just this produce?
I have a Smarty Jr. POD and sent in my old standard XZT to upgrade to the X2 XZT. I want to run them both in hopes of more fuel economy but I don't want to run much more than 70 Hp for towing purposes. I can detune the Jr. and use the X2 XZT for pressure hoping to get better MPG. I need to know how much Hp the X2 XZT on pressure only tune makes so I can adjust the Smarty Jr. accordingly to the power I want.
If anyone knows the pressure limits and how it ramps up on the X2 XZT would be great information also.
I know about too much extra pressure possibly causing injector problems so we don't need to go there.
Thanks,

The pressure will not go over roughly 25K, give or take a few hundred. Now, when stacked the pressure may go slightly above that because when you start stretching the injectors the pressure drops and both the XZT and the ECU compensate to keep the pressure at desired levels. As the pressure comes up it can overshoot and stay somewhat higher depending on the amount of duration you are using.
Either way, the pressure is not going to go high enough for long enough to hurt anything.
One of the things we do better than anyone else is keep pressure down at low rpm and low throttle position and low boost. That does not mean it is not above stock levels, just that it is not like most other pressure boxes that are somewhat on/off and run pretty high pressures even at cruise. That is where you get into trouble.
Thank you qzilla for that excellent response. It's nice to have a sponser that actually explains about his product rather than some general response like some do. Thanks again, I've been a customer of yours for three years and sent my original XZT back to you various times to have you put new programs in it for me without any problems. I finally took your advice and traded in my old XZT for the new X2 XZT. Now I can program it myself when ever and as often as I want for my personal driving conditions.
Thank you for your support and product support.
Spooler,
Thanks for your response, now you've opened a new set of questions. If you wouldn't mind answering a few more.
What smarty do you have Jr. or Sr.?
What level are you running on the smarty?
Do you detune the Smarty?
Do you run full timing on both?
Thank you,

Hi Pwr2tow,
Can you fill out your sig. You need to know that Spooler has a built trans, larger turbo, and airdog100. For you to run Spooler setting you will need some mods.
I run My Smarty sr on sw 5 revo and XZT pressure only on level 1 through the Commander. I can easily run more but I run this setting for less smoke.

A built auto tranny is a must to run my setup. I run on the Smarty Sr. on software 7, tm 2, timing 2 (daily driving) timing 3 for towing with the standard Revo tune. The quad I run the pressure tune only and use it sparingly. I run it when I tow on level 1 or 2. Anything I want when playing and not towing but I normally run it on level 0. I have a laggy turbo and this setup will flat out do some towing at over 18,000lbs gross vehicle weight with trailer. LOL
Thanks guys for trying to look out for me but I've been on these types of diesel sites for over 10 years. That's why in my OP I stated I don't want any more than 70 extra Hp. I know it's going to be hard to do with the products I want to run but with the POD I can detune the levels. I like to experiment but need a foundation starting point to base my ideas on.
