I figured they would be a little hard to find. The 05 Laramie look would be nice too, full painted grill and would be cheaper.
How bout this: get a black paintable grille. Paint the outer shell green and the crosshairs silver to match the 2-tone.

I think more color looks better on your truck and then you would have the chrome down low with the silver 2 tone.

The colored bugshield is slick man, really, I would like to find the patriot blue one for mine but like I"m suggesting I also want the 03-04 laramie grille. I might just settle for a painted one.

I could also strip the chrome off the outer shell of my current grill then get that painted. Instant 04 Laramie Grill...

I've never tried it but I have read of plenty of guys doing it. Usually they sand down the whole grill though. My fear would be that the chrome would start to flake off right at the edges where it meets the outer shell...

Yea I can see that happening. I already have some spots that peeled chrome, so I thought of painting it. Well keep us informed, I am definitely interested in this.

It comes off real easy. mine was 2005 all chrome. when I sanded the coating off, it was pretty much ready for primer I just went ahead and roughed it up a little more and cleaned it.

btw- that bug shield looks real good, way better than what I was expecting entering this post. If it is functional and efficient I'de say rock it.

Thereis also a carbon fibre version somewhere on the web if your willing to pay 1300 bones for it.

I like the bug/rock shield on mine. Cheaper than repainting the hood.

That's a sweet truck RockCrawler!
I got a grill in the mail today and now I have a dilemma. It is a white grill that would look great on my Wife's brother's Ram. It came with a bugshield that he will definitely get too. My dilemma is do I give him the grill and tell him I need his chrome one in return then paint it as suggested above like an old Laramie grill OR just give him the white bugshield and keep the white sport grill for myself and have it painted green? I don't want to experiment on my chrome one because I may want to put it back on one day...
Decisions Decisions.......

I'm loving the SRT10 hood but it's been raining the last couple days and every time I start the truck up the belt squeals really loud due to the water getting through the scoop and dripping on it (Only for a second though)... LOL

Oh, I just got another set of these Non-Fog bezels if anyone else would like to add them to their truck. I will let them go for what I paid plus shipping. They won't fit on Sport bumpers or SRT10 bumpers though...

SRT Hood

Here is what mine is looking like after taking off a smoked deflector. I did not like the looks of it with the scoop hood. To me it took away from the new look and didnt help much with bugs anyway and was something else to clean.
