Quadzilla's HOT HOT HOT
Man, on my XZillaRaider (original) I am hitting 1450 on 60HP mode, with 42# of boost. I have a Donaldson straight through 36" muffler and Amsoil Drop in... On 100HP I am burying the needle at 1,500 which is as high as my gauge goes. Is this normal?
What would be the easiest thing to do to get them down?

I am having "deja vu", I could have sworn I replied to the same post, but don't see it.
Based on your mods and an original Quad XZillaraider those temps seem about right. I could hit 1550* easy with the Quad XZallaraider Race on 100hp setting about three years ago on mine.

That sounds about right. Most boxes in the 100-140 hp range get hot fast with a stock turbo. You can go with a bigger turbo or switch to a Smarty. The new sofware for the smarty is GREAT THE POWER IS GOOD AND THE TEMPS ARE WAY DOWN. My volumizer on the high setting can hit 1400-1500. The Smarty set from level 3-6 is not over 1350!!! I have no idea how the smarty is making such good power and keeping the temps so low. That Marco guy must be a Voodoo priest or warlock because it's unreal how the new software makes power but keeps the temps so low.

I think there is something else behind the heat. I can get to 1400 on the 140 hp hot race version, and back off before it gets higher, but it sounds like time for a bigger turbo or something. Don't run it that hot for long!

That is pretty normal for 100hp on a stock 600 truck. A stock 600 series truck will run around 1400 without any power added.
Forgot to ask. You mentioned the original Xzillaraider like it was different than what you are running now? Did you mean XZT and you went up to the 100hp module or are you running the X2?

I was almost able to hit 1300 or so in the stock tune, about 1350 in 30hp tune, 1450 in 60hp tune, and buried the needle in the 100hp tune.
Is the power generated mostly by duration vs. pressure or timing in these modules? I don't really notice any timing rattle, just curious.
The power is a good mix of all of the above.
When you tested your egt's in the "stock" setting you are not getting a true stock reading.
Even in the off setting our modules do boost fooling. Basically it is like driving with a boost fooler on the truck. This will knock 75-100 deg off a stock truck alone.
That is why you only see 1300deg "stock". Remove the module and stick the bypass in and it will get hotter!
Also, something everyone needs to remember. With the cooler air this time of year, average egt's will be lower. WOT egt's will be a little higher. You get cooler air and more dense air which allows the trucks to make more power. The downside is that egt's go up.
