Quad Race Box?

I got my Race Box installed this morning (very easy install) and went out to play with it. WOW, how much fun is that

I think that the 100HP setting is just about right for playing around, 140HP really heats up fast. I'll stay away from that setting till I have the intake and exhaust done.

One thing that I noticed right away was the increase in boost. I'm going to need to replace my boost gauge as I have no problem pegging it at 35 pounds. Luckily I have a 60 pounder sitting on the bench already so I'll make that swap tonight.

Question: I noticed that when I set the rotary dial back to stock I still have increaesd boost but stock fuel flow. Is this normal?? I thought that stock meant stock??

You can pull 44lbs with the quad, and yes it is stock fueling with a boost fooler.

Don’t mean to change the subject but I have a juice/attitude and pull over 40 pis of boost a lot. I have a 06 3500 6 speed is that bad for the stock turbo. My egt’s don’t go over 1200. Thanks for the info. All

Sheesh, I didn't think the turbo on the CR was good for boost approaching 50 psi. I run my turbo up to 45 psi, which seems to be fueling limited rather than wastegate limited.

i ran my stocker for about 17k miles at over 40 psi, didnt seem to have any problems other than egt's. until I swapped it for a sps 62/14. then I checked the axial and radial play in the stock turbo. uh, I have seen turbos at work get replaced with less wear due to wheel rubbing on the housing. I wouldnt recommend abusing the factory holset for too long. just a matter of time before it becomes a grenade.
