im tired of getting 13-14 mpg on my 04.5 driving like an old lady ,can everyone who is running the new quad box tell me how much if any MPG improvement i can expect, i am debating between the bullydog downloader and this new box ,thanks,

 

I put 420 miles on my truck this last week with the box. Net gain from previous tank, 1 mpg. Now, while talking to Quad, he stated that the guys who had the worse mileage were seeing the biggest gains. Guys that had better mileage were seeing smaller gains. I do about 60/40 highway/city. I average around 18.2 - 18.5 mpg tank to tank, hand calculated (I keep detailed records). However, my last tank before the chip was 17.9 mpg. With the chip, Sunday I filled up and got 18.99 mpg (hand calc'd of course).

Quad did mention that I should start checking mileage until the 3rd tank because the first couple of tanks you tend to get on it more, and don't follow your normal driving patters. After the 2nd tank, you should be more back to normal.

 

i have had the tsb done for mpg and smoke .it smokes alot on cold startup and lousy milage , had it back to the dealer 4 times , they say just live with it, ,any info to get some more mpgs would be great i really dont need too much more power but would like more efficency, thanks,
