I pull campers for a living and i have a 2007 dodge cummins with the 5.9 3500..I have a 5" exhaust and k&n drop in and i am looking for a programmer that will increase my fuel mileage without having to do major upgrades..I plan on a cold air intake in the near future but was just wondering what the best programmer would be to fit my needs..Im not so much concerened about welding someones doors shut but mainly wanting better towing milage.....any one have any suggestions?

 

I have an Edge Juice w/Attitude. It has guages built in to its system. You can select your horsepower and what you want to monitor. Do a search on Edge Juice w/Attitude. Edge is not the only available programmer. I am sure others will chime in with pros and cons of all makes. But one thing for sure all give you more HP and better fuel mileage. Mine will be sent back to the Factory for new updates next week. Edge is an easy install and great service. Just my 2 cents.

can anyone tell me around about kind of mileage increases i can expect from a smarty jr? i hear lots of talk about them from friends and online?what kind of gains can i expect?anyone have true numbers from experience?thanks for the future info

 

There are a great many variables that factor in to the gains from truck to truck... frankly some experience no gain in MPG at all. Most though are around the 2mpg range. What is not varied though is the power gain which is substantial.
