I am considering trying a programer and had a question on them. Do they hold your stock program in the unit, and put the exact same programing back on truck, with all the reflashes ect. Or do they put in a generic program? I am looking at the diablo and the smarty. I have found where you can get the diablo programer and puck combo for $380.00, this seems like a good deal. I know the smarty is not supposed to be detected by the dealer once returned back to stock, what about the diablo?

I believe the Diablo writes information on top of (in addition to) stock programming, while the Smarty actually pulls the stock program out and replaces it with a custom program.

Looks like you don't get an answer to your question.

The Diablo erases the the key counts and all trip data. The things the dealers are looking for to void the warranty.
