Question pressure with smarty

guys what should i run for pressure with my smarty. Im running the sw9 file from 4.2 beta software. Should i look into the quadzilla, edge ez, or the tst-mp8? i like the fact that the quad box has the fuel rail gauge and that they are on sale in the dtr store. other than that im up for any suggestions. let me know what yall think and what settings to run whatever i get thanks

I run an MP8 and im very happy with it. I run it on 100 percent every day...but I don't recommend that to you........without some extra filtration for your fuel. The pressure, combined with dirty fuel, can ruin your injectors.

I'd try to get a filter head mounted and add a 2 micron CAT filter before your CP3 to save your injectors....before adding pressure.

You are brave! I run the mp-8 also and never use mine for daily driving, just when I want to play and then only about 50%.

To the OP,get a RP gauge with whatever you decide to run.The 4.2 has alot of pressure added already. Not sure what it ramps it up to on your 03 but on the 04.5 trucks its about all the pressure you need.

Another happy mp-8 owner here. Run about 50% all the time, crank it up to play or pass. Really wakes up the beta programs a little bit. And they are are strong.

with my new injectors I put in a new rail gauge I run the beta 4.2 on 9 all the time. with out the mp8 pluged in I see crusing down the road at 60 i see
12.5k at the rail. At WOT I see about 23.5K at the rail. The beta 4.2 ramps rail preasure pretty quick. When I have my MP-8 plugged in and the dial not even turned up, Its crazy fast almost to hard to drive instant spool on turbo rail ramps 30% quicker crusing RP is the same 12.5k but RP goes up and down 1.5k and the truck just wan't to go (feels like you are on and off the throttel while you are holding a constant speed). At WOT RP is at 26.5k. If I turn up the mp8 at all the injectors just get louder and louder the more I turn it up. Some thing could be up with the MP8, I may send it in to TS to be checked out. Before my injectors I would have mp8 at about 50% all the time. My boost with out mp8 is at 52. with mp8 boost is at 58. (need to rotate tires soon)!!

I stack my Smarty with a three position Dr. Performance
Killer stack, super smooth and an incredible jump in power when on.
I only turn it on to play since the smarty on 9 gives me plenty of power for daily driving.

YOu will LOVE a Smarty stacked w/ the Quad X2(stack tune). I see the same results as Justin Allan. The verdict is still out on my Adrenaline/Smarty stack, but I'm being promised an awesome stack tune very soon. Believe me, I will keep you guys posted. The X2 is great just as it is, I hope the Adrenaline will have the same results.

My system isn't really anything special. Glacier Diesel used to sell them but I don't think they sell anymore. You can buy it from Lloyd Mills here. http://www.midatlanticdiesel.com/id15.html

I just use stages of filtration....a pre filter before my Walbro pump, then it goes to the stock filter housing...then down to my frame rail to a 2 micron CAT Filter...and then on to the CP3. I have a FP gauge T'd into the line.

So far I have 121K on my original stock injectors. Maybe I have just been lucky. But I attribute most of it to the filtration. Personally, I don't think pressure hurts it much as long as you filter the fuel.

Most of the time driving down the highway, I see about 17-19K psi on the RP gauge. Maybe each truck reacts differently. I do plan to install a small set of flux injectors someday....once I get my turbo or small twins.
