Power vs. Looks

This past weekend my dad used my quad box on his truck and liked it so much he bought it from me. Now that i'm back to stock it really hasn't been that bad I lost a little pep but not that big of deal for now. I've been thinking of buying rims instead of getting the chip/commander again. I only want to buy one since saving up for christmas, which would yall do? The rims are black moto metals 951 www.motometal.com Thanks for all opinions.

Another vote for power, I think that the truck looks good without any mods, but there never is enough power!

That truck would look bad A#$ with black wheels. You can't beat black on black w/ a little chrome.

Thanks for the replies, its a hard decision either way. I think I would like the chip w/ the commander alot better than just the chip since you can make it stock untill it warms up, that was a big plus for me. I guess it's not that long until next year so I'll just have to flip a coin and not look back. Boarbuster those wheels look sweet on that truck though. Never seen them on black but i'm hoping they'll look real smooth

"Function before fashion" has always been my motto.
Go for more power.

I did both but since our trucks have ample power from the factory I went for looks before style.

On my 215hp 99 CTD I went with power first since it was 100hp shy from the new 3rd gens.

Just make sure the rims are worth it and not out of date.

Mottos are ok, the center caps are plastic, and will fall off all the time. Get real center caps or buy four extra.

If you go with those SICK MotoMetal rims, you gotta get some SICK tires to go with them! You're looking at a few thousand dollars for rims/tires vs. around $600 (what I paid used) for a Quad Box and Commander.

true i've got 295 nittos on right now but i can't wait to get some cooper st 35's on when these wear out but with bigger tires you really need the power to turn all of that do the moto's stick out much farther from the stock rims? my last truck put some eagles on it and they were really wide
