Question power box ?????????

i have a 2004 cummins and i want a power box but don't know what one to get. i would like one that i can adjust in the cab and not have to stop and rest. the smarty looks good but you have to stop and plug it in to change the setting.
the edge is the one I'm looking at the most. but was told by some one that they break a lot? can you adjust how much smoke is produced with the edge?? can some one give me some help here??????

Had mine since feb and not a problem. The smoke level is adjustable. It works great and has gauges.

you gotta fill out your sig with more information. I does matter if it is an 04, or 04.5. whether you have an auto or manual and what other mods you have. what are your intentions with the truck? are you going to be pulling a trailer, using it as a daily driver and just want to play once in a while, or are you gonna go nuts and build a racer? then we can give a better description of modules and opinions.

sorry I'm not to good with this computer stuff but i just got back from the houston drag strip and wand to spend some money know i new this was going to happen if i went to the races the truck is a 2004 auto all i have done to it is put a air raid air filter and a less restrictive air pipe on it. i plan on putting a good muffler to let it breath better and get that big truck sound. i would like to put a valve body and converter to help the trany out. i do pull some small trailer once in a while but mostly it's just a everyday driver. i just want as much black smoke i can get and be able to burn some ricers and save as much fuel on trips as i can. the truck only has 25000 miles on it so the warranty is another big issue i don't want lose it by putting a box on. thanks for the help

CL for cummins is like 170 or 180. I talked to them about 3-4 months ago about it because there is no real documentation of power on any specific model in packaging. All they said was "sorry". They did say they could add more power but they didnt want to ruin their rep by smoking peoples engine/trannys, LMAO, b/c the extreme and perf settings will allready do that on stock tranny if you dont respect the power. Besides if you run the CL program do you think you would really notice the extra 40-50hp with a slippy tranny? I dont...... my.02

I just stacked it and I love the xzt bottom end......have NO clutch left though. DD coming in Sat. It will definately roll though. 39lbs boost too. I cant wait to see what itll do with a clutch that will hold.

if you have an early 04 you wont be able to get crazy larry anyways. also the triple dog makes a good tranny shift all weird.. I recommend for a light duty unit to go with the edge juice and attitude,, you CAN get the Hot juice for that which I think is better than the crazy larry,, also will give you the ability to shift the programming on the fly... But with all this being said,, without tranny mods,, none of these are going to be good for you.. the stock tranny will complain

I have driven a truck with CL with Lowend on/off and Tq mgmt on/off and didnt like anything about it. So me personally, I dont feel as though i am losing that much by having the early 04. I run the ez on 70hp and the bdtd on perf. and sometimes extreme. My truck runs best on 70hp and perf though. Extreme adding pressure on top of ez just makes me leary even with the fuel system mods i have. It takes every bit of fuel you can dump to spool my pig............
