Posting for a good friend

Hey 3rd gen guys..

heres the scoop, 06 completely custom Megacab hauler, 5.9 cummins with a full banks powerpack, PDA, and all the stuff, with a built transmission as well.

Twins are next on the list of upgrades for the truck, and I would like to know, similar to our second gen trucks, I would assume they need studs, and a headgasket (not sure if they are still 10 over or not in the third gens) Question here is, what is a good set of twins to go with for that truck?

The truck is mainly a rodeo hauler, it will haul anything at any given time from a 2 horse, to a 40 foot four horse with LQ trailer, So towing performance is of the utmost importance, and of coarse speed and top end would be an added bonus.

What do you guys recommend for a twins set from this truck? Any and all help is appreciated guys...

Thank you in advance

I have the Aurora 2000/5000 setup on my truck and am happy with it so far but I ahven't towed with it yet as the only towing i do is during the summer months. If it's only being used as a towing vehicle then I would just go with a large single.

For reasons of good EGT control

twins seem to be the better option to look at, He does tow alot with the truck, infact 98 percent of the time its hooked to a trailer.. thanks for the suggestion tho

What about Artic air twins? or PDR?

anyone else?

I have no experience with twins but I would think that BD TOWING twins may be worth looking into, unless maybe he just wants to get a cutsom set.

I have never heard that a large single was "good" for towing. A lot of people do it, but in this case I would think something like a SPS 62 would be a lot better than a "large" single.
