Please Help!!
I'm trying to install my new turbo, and I need some help. I've attached a pic, and I need to know what the little sensor thing is attached to the turbo.(please excuse my ignorance)
And how to get it off.
Thanks

that piece is the wastegate solenoid. All it does is pulse the boost signal to the wastegate actuator. The ECM tells the solenoid when to release pressure, which in turn allows the gate to open.
There is a plug in the wire that is going to it. Unplug it and remove the turbo. You will need a fooler to plug in the harness to take the place of it. Or you can unscrew it from the compressor housing and zip tie it to the frame rail and plug it back in

you need the resistance from the factory wastegate solenoid to keep the cel happy. You can buy a aftermarket bypass plug for 25 dollars are you can make one for 2 dollars..

If you dont plan on sell the factory turbo you can cut the harness off the factory turbo solider a 1 amp 100 ohm resister between the two wires and plug it back in and you will be fine.
Correct. I cut the wires still leaving them long enough to where I can reconnect them in the future. I then installed a $ .25 resistor from Radio Shack and it has run fine since. Don't try to run it without a resistor or the resistor plug that usually accompanies an aftermarket turbo when you buy it. I pulled the turbo from my 03 which did not require the resistor. That's why I had to wire one in....
I didn't even solder mine on either. I wrapped the wires around the resistor wiring and then taped the heck out of it. 6 months and no issues yet.....

Follow the wire from the turbo a few feet and you'll see a little connector that you just undo... and your done... once you plug in the resistor plug that should've come with your new turbo(s)...
