Pics of Airaid w/ MIT (New)
Snow 104:
The Airaid w/ Mit was very easy to install. Great sound and airflow as you can really hear the turbo more. I removed my silencer ring and boy does this thing sing to me while I drive!
The price is not bad, I purchased the entire setup for 256.00 and after doing more research I found out that the Airaid has 7 layers of filtration similar to the PG7. I am getting (depending on driving condictions) 19-20.3 MPG (hand calculated).
I like the way that it looks....the best advice that I received was "pick one and enjoy!"

Snow 104,
I am interested to see how the Airaid w/ MIT will work longterm. I have been running it on my truck for a little over a month now. I avg. about 1000 miles on my truck a week. Not hauling anything I have averaged 20.3 MPG on the Highway hand calculated. Before the intake I was gettn 19 mpg.
Additionally, I am hoping with the right performance box I can get 21 - 22 MPG. At this time, I am racking my BRAIN over the Power Pup, TS RAMifier (Adjustable), and Xzilleraider "standard." I am new to all of this. Do you have any suggestions for the box? I am worried about becoming my "Own Warranty Station." These truck cost a SH*T load of money that is for sure.
I am in the process of getting gauges (Pyro and Boost) first before the box.
With fuel prices I know I need it. I would say tha most all of the intakes do a good job. IT seems as if a lot of people are running the AFE PG7 and/or Scotty III. IMHO i think it depends on how you drive, the driving conditions (dusty, towing, etc...) For my needs and after doing the research the Airaid seemed to fit my needs and budget the best...
I usually run 65-68 MPH on the Interstate and have had great luck. And for what it is worth...I like having something that everyone doesnt have on their rig.
I would say that I am confident that it is helping me with my fuel mileage at this time...

I only have 2100 mi on my 05
Wed. will be a month old
I chose to go with the EDGE W/ATTITUDE
For the guages
Box and guages work great
As far as warranty
Gonna be a pain to remove the whole thing
Guages are hooked with the box
Programmers are out
They have a tattle tale on the truck computer to tell you when you last reprogramed
I need to decide wich intake to get
I want to go Scotty
But I like the Air Aid w/Mit
I will choose this week (I HOPE)

With your 19 mPG Hand Cal. .....is that an increase for you or about the same before you put the box on? I have heard mixed reviews about the power pup. Especially when it comes to being very easy to trace ...should you need to take the truck in to the shop.
So much to choose from ....
Any thoughts on the TS RAMifier vs. the Pup? I dont think I will stack mods, (yet that is) I know the power is addicting...but ...I dont really want to screw my engine up ...just want to have some fun every now and then..
