Sir Yes Sir it will, shoot me your phone number in a e-mail, and i will call you and we can talk about how you have it wired, and I can build you a third leg and a diode assembly to power your existing relay, and keep it from back feeding.

thanks
john

Jason & Eric,

I made both of yours tonight, with the 3rd leg for your auxiliary back up lighting, and labeled the legs for Aux lites, and OEM lites

I put the leg for the Aux lites behind the diode for the OEM lites, and I put it in front of the diode for the back up lites.

so if you turn on the module (with the remote, or with the dash switch) it will light up:
--cargo light
--fog lights
--OEM back up lights.
--the auxiliary backup lights you added.

AND, when you put the truck in reverse, it will turn on the OEM back up lites,
and it will turn on your auxiliary lighting

the good part is: since you have your auxiliary lighting on it's own relay, you will only draw current to power the relay (the one you both added for your aux lights) and you won't over load the stock wiring system.

and with the diode matrix, your truck will be protected.

i think you will love it.

Thanks John! I'm looking forward to it. I have some running board lights that I plan to power off of the aux terminal as well... Thanks again, Eric

it will do it,

i used the same huge power diodes on all 3 legs, and that relay can do 50 amps.

shipped them out Priority Mail over lunch...

Well i got a package today and tonight i have anoth er new toy in the truck. I tied into the fogs and reverse under the fuse box next to the battery. Had i though of it sooner i would have hooked it to the cargo circut there aswell. Way easier and no long wire runs.

The fog and reverse wire were next to eachother. Reverse were white w/ thin brown line and fogs were white w/ thin yellow line. they were in the center connecter of the three big ones.

This made for a cleaner install IMO. Sofar it works great, some side lights , like under the mirrors would be cool........i guess ill work on that next.

Good deal. I hit my fogs there, but it's pretty hard to describe, especially to someone not to technical, and who may not have a meter handy.

glad you liked it. I think i have one left.

i gave one to my daughter for her to try on her 2005. we'll see.
it should work per some input i received via PM's from other shoppers.

these things are all over my house. i must have made more than i thought, or else i ain't sold as many as i told the wife (i told her i broke even on this experiment just to keep her off my back)

i put headlights and tail lights on my lawn mower over weekend, found 2 more, complete, $45 shipped each.

and 1 "partial" for $25 shipped:
-50 amp relay,
-power cord, fuse, ring terminal and female spade terminal (attaches to relay)
-6 feet white wire. (input from cargo light)
-10 feet strand of blue wire (2 outputs - cut in half)
-2 Power Diodes (20 amp capabe each)
-install CD with pics and instructions.

will need some more female spade terminals, a good bit of heat shrink, and some time. and the ability to figure out the diodes and test it prior to install.

several folks have asked about these shorter wire runs, here is a pic I found from when i was doing the research:

here the wire colors are visible:

i have to talk to Jason, it looks like if you hit the back up lights at the rear of the fuse box, it will not work.

the power from the back up lights comes from the fuse, then goes to the Reverse switch on the tranny.

it looks like, if the tranny is not in Reverse, power won't flow across that switch to the Back up lights.

so you will need to hit the back up lights AFTER the reverse switch on the tranny.

maybe Jason can chime in here and comment.

also, the Cargo light out put comes directly out of the Dash Cluster and goes up the A pillar. so you can't hit that behind the fuse box.

if you put an extra leg on the relay, your extra lights will come on WITH the cargo light, automatically (Key fob & door opening) and manually (with the dash switch)

Here are the PDF's from the Dodge Builders site:

put this a 2005 last nite, works great.

the 2005 does switch the positive voltage going to the Cargo light.

the cargo light is delayed (with the opera lighting)

so you unlock, lites come on,
lock, and doors lock, but fogs do not go out till the opera lites dim, then the cargo cuts off (it does not dim slowly) then the fogs go out.

correct:
-1st leg - fog lights
-2nd leg - back up lights
-3rd leg - Aux lighting you want to add.

they were all 3 separated by large diodes, which kept the various circuits from interfere ring with each other.

I have one left, and no diodes or parts, so it will just be a 2 leg.
