Ordered my Lorenz kit today

Pulled the trigger on the bilstein leveling kit today. The plan is to follow up with bilsteins and air bags on the rear at a later date.

I'll post some pics in a week or two after the install is done.

I'm sure you'll like it a lot! The Bilstein's help a lot in the ride too. A word of advice though..... the suspension is about as addictive as performance. I started with a Carli kit with a Thuren track bar (got it); then I wanted some DT ProFab control arms (got it); then I wanted a Defiant dual stabilizer with the diff guard (got it); and then I wanted a set of custom valved King 2.5's from Thuren (waiting on them ). All this sure breaks the truck from riding rough, but it also breaks the bank!

It is the 2" lift coils (I got the 6% coils) two bilstein 5100 shocks and billet drop blocks for the stab bar.

It was a smidge over $600 with shipping.

Yeah, I hear ya. I really just wanted to level it out but it seemed worth a couple hundred extra to get the springs and maybe improve the ride in the process. Eventually, I will put bilsteins on the back along with air bags, but that is it for the suspension.

That's what I said! Nah.... seriously if you just want a stock ride or a hair better, you'll be pleased with the Lorenz kit and Bilsteins.

4 years ago I was gonna put a t-rex(KORE) suspension on my truck. I decided I wanted to "get a little more power first". Ive been under the hood ever since. I think a cam, springs, and a fluidampr might be all I lack at this point........Then on to the suspension....................................unle ss I go with twin chargers..........or dual cp3's......then a a lil polish job on the head...or a piston or two..or SCREW IT I like the ride just fine.

Ya, seems I'm buying/replacing my suspension every couple months.

Well, I got everything but the coils today. Sean says they ship the coils from the mid-west so they take a little longer to arrive.

The coils could be here as soon as tomorrow or as late as next week.

At first I was confused because the boxes for the shocks have the blue/yellow Bilsteins pictured, but they are the silver 5100's.

I ordered the same kit last week. I got the shocks/drop blocks on 12th. The coils came today (14th). I was concerned too when I saw the yellow/blue shocks on box. I was cussing as I opened them, only to be pleasantly surprised at the 5100's inside. Cruel joke if you ask me. Hopefully my Ranch hand bumper will be in by the end of the month then I can start saving for Tires and rear shocks. P.S. Donations currently being accepted.

I guess I'll look for the coils to arrive starting Monday then. I'm kicking myself for not just biting the bullet and ordering the rear shocks at the same time.

Are you installing the front this weekend or waiting on the bumper?

I was going to try to install this weekend but weather is getting crappy and I have family in town. I will have to wait now, since I am going North (burr) on Monday to IL. Good luck with yours, let me know how it goes. I too wish I had ordered the rear shocks too. That is going to be next after the bumper.
