Opinions on exhaust manifolds

When I get my turbo (Silver62) I am probably going to swap out the stock exhaust manifold for something better. Any opinions on which brand is the best? Flows the best, highest quality, etc...? Prices?

i like my ATS manifold...changed the tone of my exhaust too....its deeper and kinda sounds more like a 2nd gen.

ATS seems to be the most common...i didn't shop around much i just went with what was common...and i like it

ATS manifold

I have one and I like it. The one thing that needs an extra touch, IMO, is that it is not port matched. Meaning, if you put a gasket over the manifold you'll see the manifold is smaller than the port size of the gasket. Not good. They are easily polished out however.

I have heard of the stock manifolds cracking from the expansion and contraction, but so far, mine has been good. One free and noticible mod is to gasket match and polish your stocker, like OT-OF-Here mentions. You will be surprised how much metal you will remove. You will notice a difference, not huge, but there.

I really like my ATS manifold, and I agree with 97360 about the exhaust sound. It sounds deep like the 2nd gens and is throatier now since I added the 5" exhaust. IIRC, there is a manifold for sale in the classifieds here.
