Not a way to start the New Year

yea i tried the stock tune, power is still good because of the injectors and cam n stuff BUT it still does it. I REALLY think I have an FCA issue. MY rail pressure is 10-12k while 55MPH on the freeway Is that too low?

i think your fuel control piston in your FCA is scored and is sticking because of dirty fuel or just debris coming through the system through the years. do u mind taking the time to removed the FCA from the pump and dissassemble it and take a good look at the piston to see if it is smooth and unscored?

my truck is not moded nearly as much as yours but, when my rail pressure sensor(ouch 500.00$) went out(about 200,000 miles) the truck poped and bucked and had no power, it would start right up but run like he**. keep us posted...

I think you have lift pump issues. Sounds like your sucking air at times and I'll bet your rail pressure is all wacky from compressed air bubbles. You might be time and money ahead to fill up a bucket with #2, run a fuel line from the bucket to your lift pump and see how your truck idles.
You might even add a section of clear vinyl hose before the CP3 so you can look for bubbles. The vinyl will not hold up long term, but long enough to do a thorough week long test.
