Well I had to wait 5 weeks for this gauge,it was on back order,I bet your right a bad batch of gauges.
I am not to worried though,I know Genos will take care of it,they are the best around.

 

Installed the same gauge about a month ago. I went post-turbo and have no regrets. I was not that impressed with the instructions, and blew the hose off several times at the intake manifold and once at the gauge, but after using the small tie wraps, it has been great.
I second the suggestion to leave extra hose and wire for pulling the pillar.
I am feeling lucky that mine sets at zero, see 31 #s boost at WOT, and like the fact that I have not added any more blindspot.
I agree on Geno's being great.

 

OK guys here's an update. I got a new gauge from westach and just swapped them out. Happy to say it was in fact a defective first gauge, because now my boost works perfectly and settles to 0.

 

HEY LIGHTMAN...did you call Genos or Westach? I got my gauge from Genos about the same week as you and mine shows 5lbs just turning the key on. Need to exchange like you did. Thanks...

 

I called Genos and they were out of them, so I called westach. Apparently they pulled one off geno's next order and shipped it directly to me as soon as it was ready.

 

Thanks Lightman...I guess I will call Westach first.
