I will see if I can shed some light on the Commander.

First, a mileage mode might be tough. What we may be able to do is add a feature where you can make your own mileage mode and upload it through the USB port. Something like that would be feasible. If I made 1 milege mode it might make some happy and others would want something different. As we get this thing rolled out we can work on some cool stuff you guys can do and play with via USB.

HappyGA,

It can monitor just like gauges AND it can control pretty much any module AND it can de-fuel almost any module AND it can control multiple modules.

You can also set warnings, you can set cold engine protection to come on when you want as well. IT also logs all monitored parameters. You can hook it up to a laptop and log the data in realtime for as long as you want and then you can replay it.

Now when you say it works like gauges it does but, it can also do low fuel pressure from 0-100psi and rail pressure.

Hunter11,

The instructions are not done yet because there are only a few of the "fuel pressure" kits floating around. The install is pretty easy though and I will do a quick run down.
First plug the green plug into the only plug it will fit into coming out of the Commander itself. Now the wire with the small ring terminal will fit onto the fuel pressure sending unit. The green wire clips to the center wire of the rail pressure gauge. If you are using our module make sure it is the dark green wire.

Now the fuel pressure kit comes with a stainless tapped banjo bolt and 2 washers. You need to pull the factory banjo bolt that is the inlet to the CP3. Once you do this put 1 washer on the tapped banjo bolt first, then the fuel line, and then the other washer and screw it back into the CP3. Once you do that screw the sending unit into the top of the banjo bolt and you are done.

We are working on a couple of pillar mount solutions, but how fast they come are unknown. I will tell you that we found out that the 3M distributor sent us the wrong grade double sided tape and that is why we are having some trouble. The new tape is on its way and holds fine in the heat and the cold. This tape is what we tested with ourselves and the bulk shipment was just wrong. The problem is that unless you are a "tape expert" they all look the same. This will be remedied quickly.

DonM,

It will work on a 12V and we have had a couple of people install them. You won't get to use all of the feature like rail pressure obviously. There are 2 ways to get boost. The first is to take a 98-02 Map sensor and install it int he manifold or intake horn. You need to power it and supply a ground and then hook the signal wire to our boost wire. The other option is to wait for our "high" boost adapter which will take the normal boost line and convert it to a digital signal. Other than that it works great.

Is the fuel pressure kit an extra add-on? Sorta sounds that way from qzillas post above.

I have one on order from Larry here and an extra fuel pressure kit was not mentioned? Seems like if it's an extra add-on, then in the specs sheet, there should be an * next to Fuel Pressure.

Larry,
If it is indeed and extra add-on, can you PM me with the price and I'd like to get it ordered so it might ship along with the Commander.

Sounds like a cool product. I will be buying my first 3rd gen today. SO I have been browsing around on the 3rd gen side to see what all is available for my new to me truck.

I am suprised at the response to this thread, but it has drifted off course, what would you all like to see on the next set of gauges. This is not a thread for how to mount one.

Go through this thread, there was a lengthy discussion of what the Commander was going to have and what was planned in the future.

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...3&page=1&pp=15

I don't think these options have happened yet though:

Controlling multiple modules and de-fueling them, yes both of them
Turbo timers
Data Logging
Screen Graphics, including, but not limited to analog type gauges on screen, bar graphs, custom fonts, adjustable fonts, and the ability to turn accessories on and off based on monitored parameters, not all of these things will happen, but they are being worked on.
Additional parameters being monitored

Data logging is on there, it would be nice to have the log go longer than the last start up though.
