Hi you all, I have a 2006.5 5.9 Cummins Quad Cab 4x2 that I've had for 3 years, bought with 65k Miles, do my own maint and during last BLACK oil change decided to look into better oil filtration, not really wanting a seperate bypass i looked at self contained bypass oil filters like the Baldwin 7317 and the lf fleetguard, more $$$ not too crazy about doing that cuz I would probably change the filter every 12k and use full synthetic oil so im asking if theres anything new to consider, what's the best way to go? I appreciate your help, After seeing the self contained bypass in old information on here I wondered if any of you had any new thoughts are ideas about that and if there was any new onfo that works to clean up the 3rd injection on third gen too, this will surly help me,

Here she is, 2006.5 I get an honest 17.mpg on cruise at 80mph, It Has I believe a DG8 - 48RE with - (DGB CODE?) Has 3.73 gears and 11.5 Rear. Only option for that year was a 410 gear I believe. If i do 65-- mph i can get close to 21++mpg, over 80 it drops to 16.5 is there a reasonable program that will allow me adjustment of 3rd injection mode if thats a newer found secret and give me real temps of Eng/Tranny? Suggestions??
