I use Rotella....Some of my buddys are trying amsoil but i havent yet. Rotellas the way to go

 

factory uses valvoline premium blue.

i use amsoil

i got my fleetgaurd filter from genos garage.

soulzoo is right about filling the filter. and 12 qts is usually right on the money for mine, but its good to have a space qt around just in case you make a mistake or something comes up!!

i am using the valvoline 15w40 with the Cummins C on the jug. That C gives me warm and fuzzies. I am using the stratpore filter from Genos.

 

x2 on that. rotella 15-40 with fleetguard filter is what I use. no issues here either

 

Go to your local Walmart for the best price on oil. My local store has Rotella synthetic (best choice of their offerings), Delo 400, Rotella 15-40, and maybe one other.
