Ok I Just Got My Hts Trans Installed And My Head Studs So I Went With A New Turbo. I Got The Htt 6414 And Love It. Spools Super Fast But I Only Hit 35-38lbs. Of Boost. I Called Htt And They Said I Dont Have Enough Fuel And Drive Pressure. Well Im Running The Crazy Larry And I Still Can Smoke Like Crazy So What Gives? I Still Get Alittle Hot On Larry But No As Fast As My Stock Turbo. I Figure If I Can Crank It Up To About 48-50 That Will Take Care Of Any Hot Issues. Thanks Alot

 

You need more fuel.

 

I Dont Get It. When Im Doing 70 And Floor It It Smoke Like A Train And Still Only 38lbs. Of Boost. I Have A Turbo Buick And I Can Crank The Turbo Up As High As It Will Go And It Will Just Run Lean And Kill The Mototr. I Dont Understand This. I Could Spin My Stocker To 52lbs All Day Long And I Understand This Is A Larger Turbo But 38lbs? That A Little Low. Can I Adjust The Wastegate Or Just Remove The Wastegate?

 

dont remove ur wastgate, try adjusting the nut on the wastegate rod

 

make sure your air intake is not restricted(dirty filter)

 

I have a HTB2 62/12 and have the same issue. 35psi is the highest I can get. I'm pretty sure I'm running out of fuel plus I'm slipping the clutch. I have been running a Quad race box.....

 

i have a new air filter on it. im just gonna try and adjust the wastegate to see if i can get more outa it. it just doesnt make sense to me. the tech said they set it at 38lbs. and with more fuel it will do more.

 

My wastegate does not appear to be adjustable..... I made 45+psi with this turbo when it was on my 03 w/ the TST/MP8 stack. I did have a FASS on that truck though...
