I'm buying another new (to me) truck. This time it's an 06 QCLB with only 25k on it. My question to you guys is do you know where I can find a sport bumper fairly cheap? I've tried scrapyards in the area and none has an 06+ sport bumper.
The dealership wants $1200 (about 800 being for new brackets [480 for a new rad support that the sport bumper uses]).

Anybody have any ideas here?

Or, Call a custom bumper company and see if they got a customers stock bumper laying around. That is your best bet!!

 

The problem with calling the custom bumper places is that I'll still need almost $800 worth of brackets. That is unless they take them off customers bumpers first

 

i could be wrong but im pretty sure some aftermarket bumpers like road armor, iron bull , backwoods bumpers, you remove the factory brackets and they bolt direct to frame and i no this is the case with the bumper my buddy got from ranch hand. the truck was in an accident broke one of the front bumper mounts and the new bumper mounted direct to frame rail

 

geo is right at least as far as i know thats how the ones that i have seen attach to the trucks

 

I had my chrome bumper painted and it looks just like my old sport bumper.

 

I have a 07 front bumper off a laramie. I have the brackets etc.. Its is new off my truck. 300.00 It looks different then the painted sport so not sure it fits anything but laramie.

 

I am going to repost it classifieds. Only posted once. two calls but to far to get.
