I downloaded the new software yesterday and will be watching the results. They said on the download site that timing noise might increase but I have not noticed anything.

That is true. I can not feel any difference to know if this module is even working. I have the Commander also and had hooked up to the MMM but they said it did nothing unless you had the performance download so I disconnected it. It is suppose to default to on so I have to take their word for it that is is on and working.

Will this download take the highway tune off? Or will it just add the city tune to the highway tune?

Reason I ask is because 90% of the time our 06' spends is on the highway pulling a trailer, and we've seen a 2.5mpg mileage increase over about 10k miles (another 4K+ miles this week). Thats average city/highway. but if we could get even .5mpg better in town it would help.

When your putting over 100K miles a year on your truck mileage makes a huge difference, so I don't want to make a mistake in downloading this tune. Thanks guys!

CTDowerTN, msawdust,
are you guys saying you cant feel any power difference over stock?
is there no power difference from one level to the next, or does the mileage tune feel like the 65hp tune?
been looking at getting an x2 but still doing research.
thanks

+1 here
I do about 85-90% Highway driving and would hate to loose the gains I have gotten.

From what Quad said that you will not loose the Hwy mileage, just gain more in the city. I think that they just lowered the starting point for their program to start working i.e. old start at 1600rpms now will start at 1200rpms. (These are just an example not real numbers from Quad.)

Also from what has been said I understand there is no HP gain just MPG gain. You can get HP gain if you pay for the XZT+ download.

According to Summer at Quad, she said that the HP gain is about 25hp.

When I put my mmm on( with boost fooling) quad said maybe 10 hp. It feels stronger than that but I just figured it was my imagination. If the new tune doesn`t hurt highway mpg I`m going to try it.

The new tune just starts lower. Nothing else has changed, we just made the range wider.

If you stick it on a dyno with no boost fooling there is no peak power gains. There will be some gains due to change in efficiency throught the rpm range but, no peak power is made.
