If you put in a 51" Nelson is there anything else you gotta do?
It's straight through isn't it? The factory is offset, so will you're tali pipe angle change?
My neighbour just got a job at Cummins, hmmm

That's what I want to know as well. I'm very close to buying a Donaldson 51", and just trying to figure out what all parts I need to get.

Everything will line up fine. You should not have to do anything. Yes, it's straight through. I had a local muffler shop install mine while I watched and inspected.

Currently running a 5" exhaust with a donaldson muffler, have no drone at any RPM.

My Donaldson is sounding fine. No drone. Great sound. Sounds like a big truck exhaust because...... it is...

Got it at a local truck shop for $66 out the door...

Are Donaldson and Nelson made by the same manufacturer?
Seems you never heare one name mentioned withour hearing the other name as well.
Is there different part numbers, as in is there more than one 51" by each?
I'll get my neighbour to se what they carry.

Kevin, I installed a 4 inch single MBRP system on my 03 HO truck with an Aeroturbine 4040L which is a resonator muffler in front of the MBRP muffler by about 20 inches and the drone is pretty bad at 2000-2200 rpm, where my highway driving speeds are. One guy recommneded reinstalling the Aeroturbine right off the downpipe so I may try that, otherwise is Nelson for me.

Anybody know what part numbers, and where I'd get them, to go 4 inches from the turbo to this muffler on my 03?

yeah I tried the resonator too, and mine is pretty close to the downpipe, didnt work to perfection, still the drone is there. I think I am going to look into the mufflers.

Yes, there are different versions of the 51". For example, you can get it with 4" I/O or 5" I/O. There is also a 9" diameter 51" and a 10" diameter 51".
