Need advice 37's or 35's

Hey guys, I need new rubber for my 03 quadcab 4x4.
Not sure which size to go, I have a 6" fabtech lift with 5 1/2" blocks in the rear to retain some of the stock rake.
I am looking at the MT baja ATZ's and need to decide between the 325/65/18 "aka 35x13.50x18" or the 37x13.50x18.
I have 18x9 wheels with 5" of bs and 0 offset.
Wanna go with the 37's but dont want to have to worry about them rubbing.
What do you think?

With a 6" lift, 37s all the way.........

what about fuel economy? Which one is going to be better? How much power loss between the two?

desertchecker 05-20-2008 12:16 PM

with 373s = 37 tire much less mpg & very big power loss vs 35 tire
with 4:10s = 37 tire a bit less mpg & big power loss vs 35 tire

265 - 285 tire hard to beat for braking , mpg , handling & performance
but with such a tall lift on your truck IMO those smaller tires would look stupid

since you have that big of a lift kit IMO you now need a 35 size tire minimum

I would recommend 35s better to error on the smaller side

the 37s will look better .... but the 35s will do everything else much better with either 410 or 373 gears !

If you have 4.10's get the 37's.

I love mine. PERFECT gearing.

37s!

Go big or go home, right?

:)

Do you guys think the 13.50's will rub? Also my truck is the H.O. 6 speed manual. I also have a Edge Juice With Attitude run in setting 4 on the freeway for best mpg and setting 3 in town so I'm not really hurting for power.

37s will look better , but MAY rub with the rims you`re running.

My wheel/tire guy has always mounted up one and let me test fit it before I buy....that would be your best bet , if it`s an option.

I've always thought for a 6 inch lift to help fill out the wheel wells the 37s look the best. If you are concerned about fuel mileage, than a lift and big tires are out of the equation.

go with the 37"s i went with 36x15.5 with my 8inch kit and i regret not getting 38's

Gen3cmmns 05-21-2008 02:00 AM

Ok I guess I'll see if my tire guy will mount me up a couple and test fit some 37's for me. Like I said I really want to go with the 37's just dont want any clearance issues.
Thanks for the advice guys.
