Just received mine today. Finished installing it a while ago. Due to the fact that the muffler clamps were way too tight from the factory, so tight that they actually collapsed the pipe at the joint where the muffler and pipe meet, it took much longer to remove the factory muffler then anything else. A lot of people use a sawzall it seems. I was afraid with my luck, if I cut the muffler from the pipe then everything would end up too short and not line up with the factory hangers on the frame. After I got the muffler out of the way everything slipped right in place and the fit and finish was nice. It sounds good and I would do it again.

you guy's make it hard for me to keep my truck stock.

I may have to do this but I am scared of DRONE!! my 01 was straight piped when I bought it, at freeway speeds it droned something awful I'm all for the sound of my diesel but the drone was bad!! I ended up buying a Hog exhaust system with straight through muffler and loved it.

none of you guy's have any drone???

Don't be scared I just did a muff. delete and did a camp trip this weekend up the montains and it was wounderfull. Better pulling a little more noise but not enough, mife didn't even notice. Best 80 bones I've spent.
I don't got drone but I got gerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr under load and it's pretty unnoticeable other wise.
I've got an 06 Mage cab manual trans. Just leave it stock except muff you'll be good.
Just my 2 cents

I just recieved my pipe from RPMOutlet and it looks like a good piece. It does not have any hangers on it but I think one of the clamps on the stock muffler has one attached to it anyways. I may install it after work today if it's not raining. $56.00 shipped seems like a great price compared to the others on the market but when you pull it out of the box and look at it you just wonder why it has to cost that much for a bent piece of pipe!!!!!!

No stock hangers on the clamps but I did not use one, didn't think it needed it.

How do you like the sound?

I went to a muffler shop and they cut out the muff put new 4" pipe in and added 2 new hangers for 80 bucks. I didn't even get my hands dirty and they were done 30 minute can't beat that. Worth the extra 20 bucks to have it done. Heck they even welded it in and it was a most awsome looking.

A shop here just used a 6ft piece of straight pipe and cut out the muffler and cat, replaced with pipe and welded.

$40

I should be getting mine from Geno's today... They were back-ordered for about three weeks, got them in Monday, then they shipped out lots of them Tuesday.

Wish I would have found this thread and saved $50 going through RPM... I guess you win some, and loose some...
