MBRP resonator
as stated alot is the effect on where the tip exits the truck, seems if the tip is too close to the fender a lot of the noise gets under the truck and then up in the truck. My 6 inch round tip extends out just as far as my H2 takeoffs do and that gets the sound out from under the truck and the tip deepened the tone as well. I can't see the magnaflow I have as being much different than the mbpr, the test pipe does make for a clean looking install too ~!
Resinator
Everybody,
I currently have the MBRP muffler and cat in place, it sounds very good to me, little louder than stock (mainly if you really have your foot in it) however other than that it's not that loud. I however would like to put a resinatory in in place of the at for pulling and off roading. I also wanted to make a dual system (they have the cutouts so I could bypass the cat when off road ect, however I think they'd have a problem with that at inspection.)
Mark,
If I replaced he cat with the resinator, would I have a very similar sound or would this be louder than my current set up with cat and muffler? I don't want it as loud as no cat, but a little louder than it is now.

That's when you think you have a clogged cat. So you put on the test pipe to test out the situation. Then once the diagnosis is made, you put your cat back on.
