MB Motoring Gunner 8

Does anyone know the weight rating for the MB motoring Gunner 8 wheels? I have a read a couple posts of cracking so I want to make sure the weight rating is sufficient before proceeding. Otherwise anyone have the MKW wheels rated at 3500#??

Why not contact the manufacturer or a dealer?

I tried contacting the manufacturer and got the preverbial returned email about a full mailbox. Tire Direct, which appears to be the exclusive dealer, is a bunch of young kids that don't know anymore than just if they look cool or not.

RDRASH.....where did you find that information on the load ratings?

Gunner 8's installed

I put a set of Gunner 8's on my 2500 yestreday. The manager at Discount Tire told me the wheel was rated at over 3400 lb. I had Michelin LTX AT/2 275/65/20 E installed. They are rated at 3750 lbs. single. I wanted as tall a sidewall as I could get in the 20" Michelin.

The manager I spoket o at the store had no idea. He basically said that considering they sell it for a 3500 truck it is rated at least or better than the stock ones. Not much help on a true rating. MBN.....is that stamped on teh inside of the rim??

I've got the 20"x10" 3400# rated ones on my truck turning 40's with them. No cracks or problems and I tend to abuse my truck. But if you do get them, put a good polish on them very first thing before they get dirty. You'll be glad you did. I recommend the mothers chrome cleaner/polish.

Actually thinking of the anthracite ones since I live in WI and all the salt on the roads. Is that 3400# stamped on the wheel or did you find it someplace else?

It's on the boxes. That was the only way I would take them is if they could show me the weight rating. I got mine for about 200 a piece on sale a Discount Tire. For a chrome wheel in that size, I couldn't pass it up. They didn't have anthracite at that time or I probably woulda done those.

Gunner Rating

The rating was stamped on the box. I did not look at the back of the wheel.

Thanks for the information. Still a bit nervous about it just being on the box and not the wheel. They could slap any sticker on the box.

How are you liking the 275/65/20s? DO you like the size of that tire?

Try this web site below. Without your sig info or knowing exactly what size rim you want, this is the best I can do.
