Max Mileage Module question for QZILLA

Reading the ever growing thread on the MMM in this forum it was mentioned the Quadzilla was going to release a new load for the module to help those that drive less aggressively. This generated a couple of questions in my mind.

1. At what parameters is this module going to work the best. In other words what rpm ranges and under how much boost?

2. Will there be two different software loads? One for the aggressive driver and one for the mild driver (like myself). Or will the one load accomadate both types of drivers?

I tow about #14k most of the time and was hoping for a little gain when on the flats. If I know where this device works the best I can target that range. Also I have the commander and if there was a way that the commander could turn the MMM on and off I could see if for reference only on the overhead what effect it is having on my mileage. I think that would be a worthwhile test to prove if it was working.

I got the MMM about a week ago but have not yet had a chance to really try it out yet. Hoping to see some gains in my next trip.

Thanks in advance.

I asked the same question in the original MMM thread and didn't get a good answer except that I shouldn't expect too much while commuting in a 1-ton diesel truck.

I gave up on the MMM and upgraded it to an xillaraider XZT. It's much more fun now. I do like the MMM/XZT box concept - the upgradable/flashable nature of it gives a lot of flexibility.

Well, it seems like the issue is being side stepped here.. If Quadzilla is going to market this item with the claims they make then they have to be ready to answer the hard questions. Only a very small percentage of people actually said they see good results with the MMM installed. And in some of those cases it was found they also removed some of the wieght off the foot pedel..

For me, I have'nt gained anything except less money in my account.

I would like to see specs...Before and after and the type driving that was being done provided by quad. Lets see some real time information..both hauling and unloaded, city and Highway driving. And the configuration of the truck.

I admit I bought the thing without doing any investigations first, but I thought that I could trust them without checking...My mistake.

I think we have been through this more than once on here.

You do not have to drive any special way. What we did in software is remove the POTENTIAL to loose mileage while still increasing efficiency in the average range the motors are in.

Now, there is no way to make something that will work on every single truck. We know that, but, it works on the majority of them which is what we are after.

The problem with something like our XZT module, or any module that actually adds performance is that the potential to loose mileage is there. It takes fuel to make power, plain and simple. The more power you use the more fuel you use. So if you are using our XZT driving normal, a LOT of people see mileage increases. The problem is that when you go stepping off into it from a stop light or to get around someone in traffic, it is easy to drop the mileage back down. This is why some people don't see as much of a gain on fuel mileage with the XZT boxes. WE still have a lot of people that do see mileage, it is just too easy to let the box change your driving style because it is fun to romp on it.

The MMM does a lot of these same things but, it removes the potential of loosing we keep talking about.

We tested this a lot before it went out but, like everything else when you release a few thousand of something you start to learn new stuff. That is the advantage of a USB port. We learn something new and in a matter of seconds we can pass it on to the customers.

All the new software is going to do is start making changes sooner and make them longer. This just effectively increases the sweet spot some that people are not running in.

If you look the 98-04 trucks pretty much see mileage with all the boxes. I am sure there is a few people that didn't but, 99% of them do. The only boxes we seem to be getting 75% or so on is the 600 series engines. We had a few guys that were gaining mileage sometimes, and not others. They know it works but, wanted to work with us to make it more consistant. So that is what we did.

Now, on another note this time of year tends to drop fuel mileage badly. The main reason we see for this is that idle time is greatly increased. From warm up in the mornings, to leaving the truck running during the day.
