Is there a kit out there to put manual locking hubs on an 04.5 ???

I hope you realize you don't have "automatic locking hubs"? You don't have hubs at all. Dynatrac makes a conversion kit, it's just under $2K I think. There is thread over on the TDR website.

I know what I have, believe me I am well versed in 4 x 4's (see my pictures). I have what are called Flanges or drive plates. I was just wondering if there was a conversion out there to up the MPG by not having to drive the gears in the front-end all the time. Friend did it on his 4-runner and his mileage went up about 3 MPG. However, for 2K it would take a long time to re-coup!!!!!
P.S. Just looked at Dynatrac web site, that is not for the front end in an 04.5, that is for a Dana 60!!!!!!!!!
I used to own a 79 chevy with the full time 4X4... When I first put the locking hubs on the front of that I had to run it in 4 wheel drive due to a differental in the transfer case...
Would a transfer case modification be required for locking hub on the 3rd gen trucks...
I have an 05 2500...
