Looking for info on Toshiba HIR headlight bulbs
 

Has anyone here swapped the Toshiba HIR bulbs in for their headlight or foglight bulbs? If so, how do you like them? I believe that they are only available in 9011 and 9012 which can be used in place of the 9005 and 9006 however, I'm not sure if they can be used in place of the headlight bulbs (9007). Any feedback would be greatly appreciated b/c my Ultra Silverstars have burnt out yet again and I'm tired of replacing my bulbs every few months.

Didn't know you could still get the HIR's. Can use them in the fogs with a slight modification to the base but not in the headlights, since ours is a 9007 dual filament bulb. HIR is only single.

Your best bet is to either upgrade to Bi-Xenon HID or use Philips Xtreme Vision halogen for the headlights.

That makes sense. Do you have the Philips Xtreme Vision? How do they hold up? Is the light output better than stock?

Right now I have an old set of Silverstars in. Didn't know I had a bulb going bad when I was upgrading the headlight wiring so I had to use the SS. In the near future I be getting the Xtremes.
