Get a good spring compressor and I'll help you install them. Its not easy, its not bad. I've done bunches of them. You WILL need to get an alignment shortly afterward, its driveable, but not advised for too long.

I didn’t use a spring compressor and found it pretty ease to get the springs in with a small crowbar.

Unbolt the passenger side of the trackbar and you'll be able to get both springs out with no spring compressor. When you are done, drop the truck back to the floor and have someone turn the steering wheel to get the bolt back in the track bar. Took me a little over an hour.

I agree with pik. You can do it without the compressor. Once it's all dropped down there's no tension on the spring. I just got done putting in my 2" Top Gunz up front and 2" blocks in the rear. Due to manufacturing issues, the front was actually easier to do then the blocks.

Pik's answer is dead on. I have put on several of these kits, and they are very easy. FYI- I have NEVER done an alignment after a leveling kit.

I've seen bad tire wear after doing this and driving only 1000 miles. Its just common sense if you want your tires to last longer, an alignment would be the best thing to do anytime you alter your steering geometry.

As far as a spring compressor. I put it on while the weight is on the truck, lift the truck, take them out, install spacers and springs, drop truck, release compressor. Its alot easier and faster IMO. Work smarter, not harder. OF course, you need two sets to do it, but I've got one set we can use.

Here's a question, with a front leveling kit (new springs, and sway bar end links or spacers) is an adjustable track bar NEEDED? I've heard some people say yes, and some say that it doesn't matter.

I never need a spring compressor when i do trucks. I take the track bar loose, disconnect the sway bar, then lift the truck from the side. The front end will drop enough for the spring to fall out. When putting the spring back in with the leveling kit, it is just a little tight. With just rotating th spring and a little nudge, it fits in nicely. I mainly use the Revtek ones.

Did mine yesterday. No compressors, sway bar, track bar, 2 hours, by myself.

I think if I do it (money is tight right now) I will wait till I have the $$ for the KORE HP kit for my uses, it seems to be the best for the buck. I'd love to have a carli starter, but for what I use my truck for, I am not sure its really needed.
