I'm needing to get my weight bracket built soon for the upcoming sled pulling season and don't know what style to go with. I like PourinDiesel's set up but i don't have tow hooks. Maybe I need to add the tow hooks so that I can do something like that to mine.....

What other options do I have for a sturdy but removable bracket?

You can take some 1/2 plate steel and weld a 2in receiver tube to it and mount it were your tow hooks go. I will try and get some pics of how I did mine soon.
