leer 100xq owners
thanks to everyone on the forum for the help with my questions. this is a concept I've got and I'm curious if anyone has tried it.
as per the caps I think the 100xq looks the best. so, that's what I'm gettin'. however, I would like the bottom of the glass on the cap to fall in line with the glass on the side windows of the truck.
I'm getting rhino liner put in soon (but is it necessary if I have a cap???) and when they spray it in (about 1/4"thick) I'm going to ask them to spray it slightly thicker than that on the bed rails. hopefully this will raise the cap to a more eye appealing height. Is this concept feasable???

Make sure the rear hatch will seal properly against the tailgate cause your raising that as well. I have a 100XL and the rear hatch is lipped to hit in a pretty specific area. If I raised the topper 1/2 inch, it would not seal near as well.
All I did was had them spray the top of the rails without going over the sides. The liner on the rails was hidden by the topper. I did have them spray down the outside of the tailgate edge about 2", because that is where the hatch seal will hit the paint.
