kmc xd rockstar rims

i was just wondering if i could fit 22inch kmc rockstars rims on my truck with the 2" leveling kit. i want to know what the biggest tire i can get on this rim would be. or would i be better off with a 20inch rim.

I think they make a 22x9.5 rockstar...but it may not fit with only a 2" lift???? I know the 20x8.5 would work cause there is a few guys on ere running them...
maybe they will chime in?????

depends on backspacing..i ran AE 114s that were 20x8.5 with 35x12.50s with no rubbing at all..they were 4.575s/+20mm...if they are in that range they should fit with 35s but i didnt have much room to play with. I wanted rockstars so i bit the bullet and went with a 6in lift 20x10 and 37x13.50s that are going on whenever my lift gets here..good luck

I have 20" kmc monsters with 35s and a 6 inch lift and clear the crap out of them. You can run 33s with the level kit but for sure no wider than 10 inches. I dont no if they make 33s for 22" wheels though. Or at least 33s that are 10ply.

Yeah the 22s come in a 9.5" wide wheel, which will probably cause some problems when combined with a 35" tire and a 2" leveling kit, and I am not sure about the BS numbers on the 22s. You could get by with the 20x8.5s. They have a 5.14" BS, you could run a 33" tire on the 20" rim and have the same "look" sidewall wise as 22s w/ 35s. The pics I have in my gallery are of 35" Toyos on the 20x8.5 I talked about above. This is with a 4.5 Superlift installed tho.

On a side note:

In two weeks we will be putting my Rockstars and Toyos on a stock truck, Just to help a friend with his decision. I will take some pics and try to post them up, but I would expect my 35s to rub on a truck with no leveling kit or lift.

I have seen 35" tires on stock width wheels with no lift at all and no rubbing. it surprised me big time. I would have never believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. So I think the 33s on 20s with a level kit would be a really good look and you should have no trouble with it. I own a tire shop in Louisiana and see all kinds of diff set ups and install lifts quite a bit. so have tried and seen some diff set ups.

you just dont want to go 33s on 20s that are 10 inches wide because then it will be really close to rubbing when you turn a little bit and hit a bump at the same time. that is why i dont run 37s on my truck because i cant stand to just fit something I want to clear it with ease.

Want to do the same thing when my current tires wear out. 22 inch rims on 35's. I have 35" Toyo AT's with 20" Helo's and they are fine. Get just a tish of rubbing at full lock, but not enough to concern or bother me at all. My truck is stock with a 2" leveling kit.

I think both Nitto and Toyo make a 35" tire that will wrap around 22's

Just mounted my wheels and tires. 35's (Toyo Open Country ATs) around 22's with just a leveling kit as talked about in the post above.

Must say I'm very pleased with how they turned out. I had 35's (Toyo OC ATs) around 20's before and got a slight rub at full lock and was a little nervous that the 22" combo would be worse, especially since the new 22" rims were 1/2" wider than the 20's that were on my truck. I did my best to find the right fit and am happy to report no rubbing at all. Zero, nada.
