had my recall done today, drove away with the secuirty light blinking after flash, stopped and shut truck off and would not restart. had to tow the vehicle back to dealer who said that was between me and chyrsler.After checking on the DTR site I learned that 06-07 will somtime times loose the key skim and module during re-flash. I attempted to share this with the Dealer, who replied don't tell me how to do my job.After some discussion they looked at the truck and called chyrler who confirmed and had them change the Key module and replace my keys.

the dealer balme the lost data on my Fass pump and wireless alarm, sooo 500.00 later truck is back running and the problem was just what i was telling them I learned on the site.

Now my smarty says soft ware not recognizable ??

 

You did take your Smarty back to stock first right?

 

They are not installing that junk on my truck. LOL I don't care what they say.

 

glad they cant force me to do like a lot of you. i have had my second notice. wounder how many they will send.

 

Truck was returned to stock 24/hrs before the recall.

California is now placing a hold on the renewal.

Truck passed smog, smog certificate said need recall slip,I attempted to register online and the online registration is revolked now.

 

The latest Smarty update should enable you to load it up. Mine's due for registration and smog next December. What a crock.

 

I had Erick At LCD to download the latest, for some reason when I plug the Smarty in it still reads software not recognizable

 

Contact Bob Wagner and let us know what he says. I can't imagine life without Smarty on mine. They may have slipped another bug into the KO1.

 

Mine was done about a month ago. I've got the ST, so I don't have all the bells and whistles. So far, I have not experience any ill affects. California has us by the ***** on this one. If the housing market wasn't so bad, I would be gone. This state is so screwed up.

 

What is this recall for. Ive got an 05 in california does this apply to me?

 

Spoke with Bob and he says< MADS has toupdate a new software before you can use your smarty again. The software should be released in 7-10 days

 

yes this applies to you too... from what i have learned from doing a search on this site is this, this is a communication flash. their are a few techs on the site that has came accross the exact same problems i had with the starscan tool used to flash the computer.

I should have pushed harder on having chrysler pay for the modules since I know they have a history in their data, and I guess not every truck repsonds the way mines did but for sure the 06-07 year is where the problem has shown up.

 

Hmm interesting that Marco has to come up with yet another update. Contact Dodge and complain about having to replace a skim module and chipped keys that worked fine prior to the flash. I think they'll pay. Tell them that the truck failed to function after a Chrysler reflash. Mention that you'll contact the NHTSA about the incident if they fail to pay.

 

What is this "communication" recall all about?
