Installing Silver Bullet tonite, any Suggestions?

Like the title says, Im gonna be installing my Silver Bullet tonite. Does anybody have any suggestions, tips, or tricks to make this go as easily as possible? This is my first turbo install so I don't know what Im gonna run into. The turbo came with new gaskets and hardware. Is there anything else im gonna need? Im running the beta 4.4 so that should do my boost fooling right? This means I shouldn't need a resistor right?

Mount the oil return line to the turbo first...make sure you clocking is right prior to tightening the manifold flange bolts and MAKE SURE THE FLANGE STUDS are EXACTLEY the shortest length possible...flange thickness plus nut thickness. Then it should go in in no more than 30 minutes.

Otherwise...3 hours...lol.

It can actually be a big job for a first timer. You have to shift the exhaust back about an inch for the new turbo. This may or may not be a problem.

I prefer to remove the manifold and mount the turbo to the manifold on a work bench. As stated before, make sure the drain tube is on the turbo before you put it on the truck. Otherwise you will have to pull the turbo again. When you put the drain tube on use a light coat of RTV on the drain tube gasket or it will leak.

You will still need the resistor that plugs into the stock wastegate harness plug. Boost fooling only fools the MAP signal to the ECU. I also take the exhaust manifold off of the truck and mate the two on the bench. I find it much easier. Also, removal of the inner fender is extremely helpful too along with the front wheel but removing the front wheel isn't essential. The neatest trick I've learned since doing mine twice is by replacing the manifold bolts with studs. There's 12 of them but it sure makes the job much easier. Make sure to dump a little oil down the port before you connect the supply line and give the shaft a turn or two. This will make sure you have enough oil in there upon start up.

Boy it sure would have been helpful if they would tell you that or include one with the turbo. Well, I don't have one. Can I still drive it around without one? I hear it will throw the CEL on. Will it go into limp mode or anything?

You can rig your own with a resistor, or taking the sensor off your stock turbo and tying it off in a plastic bag seems to work too, and it's free.
