Installed Quad Boost Fooler and ???????????
I just installed the quad boost fooler on my 06 Cummins with Bully dog Crazy larry, before i installed the boost fooler the outlook monitor would spike out at about 33 to 34psi and settle about 32 to 31 psi after installation of Boost Fooler it will go to 23psi max, is that because of the outlook monitor reading from the computer or is it jsut not working right it doesnt feel like it has any more boost but cant really tell any less either, any help would be appreciated.
It is becaue you are the outlook is reading fooled boost. My tst does the same thing with my mp8, I am just glad I got a real boost guage. I am havein the same problem with my rail pressure guage on my tst so now I have got another rail guage on order too.
The reason is cause the boost fooler is hooked into the trucks sensor ahead of the outlook. I am not familiar with the boost fooler but if you can try hookin up the monitor to the trucks sensor, then boost fooler then factory wireing harness.

Thats what i figured, do they make a outlook pillar with 2 pod gauge above it so i can keep the outlook and put a boost gauge and rail pressure gauge above it, if anyone has info on this i appreciate it, thanks alot.
I have not seen the pillar you are talkin about but is sure dont mean it doesnt exist. You may want to leave the edge in the A pillar and you can run 3 or 4 guages over your mirror or if you only want 2 put em on your steerin collumb. Or you could look into putin a universal mount on either/both side(s) of your A pillar and havein 2 there.

I dont really know, i guess i need to unhook the fooler and try it and then hook it back up and try it and see, I am use to my 97 12v i just sold ran over 70psi for about 4 years with it, this 06 runs very well but it just doesnt have that throw ya back in the seat power, maybe its just me, i have the outlook monitor and would really like to find a pillar that has 2 gauges above the outlook and put in a boost and rail pressure gauge, i really appreciate you guys helping me out on this i am not used to this computer crap, i can tell ya everything about the old 12v's, my next question is what is the best stack with this crazy larry, i dont want to hurt the truck it only has about 6,000 miles on it. thanks alot.
Any gauge you run that operates off of the OBD2 port or off of the vehicle bus will not read properly on the sensors you are modifying. In your case we are "fooling" the ECM on the boost signal. Therefore you are going to see about stock readings on your monitor.
You can either get a mechanical gauge or a monitor that will read actual readings off of the sensors.
Also the only time you should notice any difference is at higher than stock boost levels. The WOT egt's should be down as well as towing egt's if you are working the truck. This is when the extra boost comes into play.

i am hearing alot about the mp8 sounds like the way to go, is it ok with the crazy larry, thanks gzilla for the info, thats what i figured jsut wanting to know for sure, thanks alot.

So, the boost readings are not ACCURATE as they are displaying a FOOLED # instead of the true #? So, if it shows 25psi, it might really be 35psi due to the boost fooling?
Also, is it not dangerous (for the tubro) to run boost levels over the factory stock setting of 32psi MAX?

You are correct. With the boost fooler on and a boost reading of 25 max then you are probely running at a higher boost. Its reading a fooled boost. Normally you dont need a boost fooler unless you have a larger turbo that runs around 40 plus. Thats why you install a fooler so the ECM thinks every thing is at normal stock settings.
It is safe to run the turbo over 32psi. Now I wouldn't make it habit of running it up to 45psi and then jump out of the throttle and bark the turbo. Over time you can eventually break anything.
Now if you are using a gauge that reads from the OBD2 or ECM side of the Map sensor then you are going to read fooled values. The only way to read it properly is to get on the MAP sensor side or read it mechanically through the manifold. Either way will work.
