Coolant temp to high, my guess is you put the wrong wire to it. |
3 things that I have seen that can cause this.
1.) Wrong wire. 2.) Tapped the wire or left the sensor unplugged at some point with the key in the on position by accident. IF this is the case the CEL will go out on its own. 3.) Weak sensor / Bad sensor. Only seen like 2 or 3 of these but, it has happened. When you go to read it and the sensor is weak then it actually draws current from it and it thinks there is a problem. This is usually associated with the factory gauge being pegged. |
Uh, oh...might want to read my thread.
https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=134625 I probably fall into qzilla's number "3". |

While I was waiting for my buddy to bring his voltometer to see which wire to tap I had forgot to plug the coolant sensor back in and started the truck!! Called the dealer and they told me what it was and then I figured it out. Plugged it back in tapped the wire and re-set the batteries... GONE!! QUAD I have got to say that I love the commander!!! You hit it on the nose with this one. I had the BD outlook on my 05 and it was ok but small!!! Man you can read this thing from the back seat!!! I am not too hip on the a-pillar mount color didn't match but I am going to do some changes!!! Thanks for the help fellas!! Shane |
