installed 315, looking to get rid of rub

Ok, so my 315's rub a little more that I would like, Can I put blocks under the front like you can the rear? IMO a leveling kit throws off the geometry of the suspension, I haven't looked at the axle but wouldn't blocks keep the geometry stock? I can buy a leveling kit loacally for $300 installed, Are the blocks safe?

DO NOT use blocks. Look at every lift kit ever amde for any 4x4 ever made. NONE of them use blocks in the front. If you think the spring spacers will mess things up, that's nothing compared to what blocks would do. i had a friend in high school that decided to do that in a 1/2 ton chevy pickup and it would barely go straight down the road and couldn't be driven on the interstate at all.

I guess with coils vs leafs, they could be considered the same, but I'm not sure what hsi intention was, and simply thowing some blocks in there would be a bad idea.

I put in the 2 1/2 or 2 3/4 " spring spacer leveling kit.. No problems so far and my 315's don't rub (18K miles).. one thing though.. they do not come with a spacer for the sway bar and I have bent the little ends on that connect on the sway bar end. I just made a set of 2 1/2 inch blocks to make the sway bar angle proper. I guess when you top out the suspension it bends the links. I went into 4 wheel parts and skyjacker makes a swaybar spacer but they are $35.00 each side.. Looking back at the time I spent making my block I should have just dropped the $70.00..

I have the Daystar spacers in my truck. Had to add new shocks, but other than that the truck looks and rides great. Just bought a set of 2" blocks for the rear to even it out.

Where are you guys getting the blocks for the rear? I just got my spacers in the mail today, but I don't want the thing to be doing a wheelie, especially when the trailer is hooked up.
Thanx.

I would get it alinged after the spacers are put in .. I had mine done and the toe in was out. The steering on these trucks use a "Y" configuration so when the truck is raised the toe is changed.. the Caster checked out OK.
