Recently I had flux 2.s installed. I am going to have twins put on the 19th. Anyway I have my electronics turned off because stock tubo can't take it, so to be safe. . .My ? is truck idles ruff but with throttle I am getting what I think is timing rattle, is this normal, and when I get my turbos will it go away?

 

Well, I can now answer my own ? Evidently I have one bad injector. . .go figure, Rip is going to fix it on monday.

 

Did you figure out what the problem was, or better what was going on? I see Rip is going to replace one of the injectors? Was that a DRB test or what?

Mostly curious as to what is cooking. Hoping, trying to get to the bottom of the problem.

 

I should qualify this a little better Don. Rip installed the injectors and I have a a rattle w/giving it fuel and at idle it is ruff. So I believe he is going to put my stock injectors back in for now. . .or find out why or both. Do not know for sure of anything at this point all I know is something did not go right. I am by no means a mechanic just a ageing diesel nut at this point going thru my 5th childhood.

 

Did you have the problem from the get go, or did it start after the injectors were installed for a few days? I tried to raise Rip on the phone, but did not get them.

I want to know the outcome Monday. Keep me up to date. Using this thread if you like.

 

Don it started at the time of install. Please believe I have complete confidence in Rip and your product.

 

hey don i am looking for a set of 3.8s do i send you the injectors i have now when i bought the ones from II they sent a set down done and i sent them the cores is that how it works with you guys the II that are in it now have about 5k on them just to small for the way we went with the truck

 

the scource crew is at an rv show this weekend...
to bad cause theres a dyno event up the road from them, and races..

We have a temporary break in production for a few weeks for any new orders. We are moving the shop to a much larger facility. I hope everything is moved by next Friday. (-:

Luckily, the season still has plenty of time left. I know Rip is working on a truck and there is one other that will be very competitive going together now up in the NW. It will be an interesting year for sure.

 

I will be closely watching this thread because I think since doing my injectors I've developed a miss as well.

 

thats cool don i am looking for some big dyno numbers this year i will be ordering my twins at the end of the month along with the dual cp3s just need to figure out the sticks to run in the mix and you guys are top of the line

 

Well Don, Rip replaced flux 2's to my stock injectors and the truck runs fine, so something must be amiss with the flux's. I think you talked with him monday, anyway I know you are extremely busy but was wondering if he overnights them to you could you take a look at them. I was hopping to get them right back because he will have my truck on Wednesday the 19th to put the twins on and hopefully the flux's back in.
