6.7 nozzles on 5.9 injector bodies?

Not quite sure where to post this since it deals with mostly a 6.7 engine, but is related to a 5.9 injector (or the body of one at least), but it's all factory parts, but no where near a factory configuration. This seemed like the most fitting area, mods please let me know if you think it should be elsewhere.

Let's start with a bit of back story, my '06 dodge spit out an engine a while back, and I decided to convert to a 6.7 block because I like the low end torque. My spare tuck I have been driving decided to spit out a transmission 2 days ago, so now getting my 06 back up is priority 1, and I'm on kind of a budget (read: I'm broke). What I do have is a bunch of parts lying around. I plan on running the 5.9 ECM on the 6.7, but I know the 6.7 injectors don't work well with the 5.9 ECM (I've tried it before after lots of mixed information, the do fire if you have over 14V going into the ECM, but I can't imagine it's good long term for either the ECM or the injector), so after some checking it would appear the 5.9 injectors do fit the 6.7 heads, but not the other way around. This leaves me with the problem of spray angle. If I had the money for a new set of injectors I would definitely go that way, but back to the whole being broke thing. So I got curious and dismantled one of each injector, and both nozzles are almost identical, the only difference I can see is the 6.7 nozzle pin is slightly smaller then the 5.9 (I would guess thicker nozzle body to handle the higher pressures). so I'm curious if anyone has any thoughts on swapping nozzles between bodies? I don't plan on running higher then stock injection pressures, and yes, I'm aware of the usual risks of opening an injector, just looking for any thoughts on if it would work in theory.

Just an extra piece of info, while measuring things I found a slight difference in puck thickness also. about .0015".

For future reference by anyone else who has this idea, I put together some test injectors and sent them for testing. 3 built with the 6.7 pucks, 3 with the 5.9 ones. The good news is they don't leak, the bad news is they also don't fire. Ah well, worth the test cost to satisfy my curiosity. Back to a 5.9 head on a 6.7 block with 03 injectors I suppose.
