To install the Quadzilla Rail Pressure gauge you need to do these things.

1.) Turn the truck off!!! [laugh] sorry, I had to add that.

2.) You unplug the rail pressure sensor, plug our wiring harness in-between them with OEM style plugs.

3.) Pick a Keyed powered fuse (i can't remember which one we recommend) and slide the fuse tap over the fuse and re-install in teh fuse block.

4.) Find a good ground source and install the ring terminal over a bolt and under a nut wherever this may be. (Once again, off the top of my head I cannot remember what we tell you in the manual)

5.) Find the rubber grommet towards the bottom of the firewall at drivers center and slide the small 6 pin connector through it or beside it.

6.) Mount your rail gauge where you like it and run the small cable down to the 6 pin connector.

7.) Plug the 6 pin connectors together.

I can do it in about 3 minutes. If you really take your time and are really picky I don't think it would take 15 minutes??

8.) Watch Rail Pressure.

Now, if you want to add fuel psi (lift pump psi) here is what else you will need to do.

Get the fuel pressure kit.

In the manual we have a picture so you know what banjo bolt to remove so it makes a little easier.

1.) Remove the shown banjo bolt from the CP3.

2.) Using the 2 new included washers install the new banjo bolt that is tapped in the same hole and in the same manner the old bolt came out.

3.) Screw the fuel pressure sending unit into the tapped banjo bolt.

4.) Take the grey??? wire or the only other wire that is left on the Rail Gauge wiring harness with a small ring terminal and install it on the threaded stud at the top of the fuel pressure sending unit.

Your Done.

Put mine in last Thursday and the hardest part was runnig the wires through the firewall. Works great and let me know that it was my LP that caused my truck to die on Saturday.

I think it is fuse 28, I just did my Commander last night and that is where the manual says to run the fuse tap.

The RPG does not plug into the MAP sensor at all.

They will not bother each other in the least bit.

Where the heck is the RP connector?

haloman 08-30-2007 05:07 PM

Ryne, If I read the Smarty website correctly the newest software I am putting on there should do boost fooling, so you just need to get you RPG on and the gauge set from dieselmanor.com like we talked about.

Look along the side of the engine where the wiring harness for the injectors are at and there should be a matching plug like the one with the quad kit.
