I believe after market valve springs would be a good idea if you are running 50 lbs of boost and a s/w that will let your motor rev past the stock s/w. For insurance.

I read somewhere on this forum that a person needs aftermarket valve springs only if you're going over 3000 rpm's. The factory springs are good up to that point. That's just what I read and if my memory is correct, 'cuz I had the same ??. I'm pretty sure on the info., otherwise I'd have it on my list of future mods. to get.

If you plan on going above 500hp I would advise valve springs.

I would agree, I have seen a piston with valve kiss on truck with just around 500hp. Granted a valve seat slipped loose on that cylinder, but who knows which happened first.

hamilton springs will be $349 til Dec 31st, and here's a quote directly from Zach "If you can't get through, p.m. me as such and on monday i will retroactively hook you up with the sale price." you could send him a pm over on compD real quick and see if he will hook you up.
