How about the juice???

I'm thinking of buying the new Juice W/Controller for my '03. Anyone out there have any comments or experience with them? I'm looking for better MPG and a way to get rid of that slack acceleration when I'm tailgaitiing on the interstate during rush hour traffic. I just turned over 35,000 miles on the old girl (I've been deployed to the desert for most of the past two years) and am concerned if 1) Is this going to hurt my baby cummings and 2) Is my auto Tranny going to hold up with the added Torque? Any thoughts???

If you get the standard Juice w/Attitude and use #5 setting very sparingly, your tranny will be fine if you have the 48RE tranny.

The Juice w/Attitude is a very good choice. Very smooth, and your can adjust the power levels right on the Attitude inside the cab. I love mine! See signature.

I'll second that. Just put mine one a month ago (25,000 miles on my truck). I have a six speed but it is still WAY faster than it was before. It should really fly with an auto. I mostly keep mine on the economy mode but I havent burned a full tank yet to see whatt the mileage difference is. Once you hit level three you can really notice the difference. Best money I've spent on my truck yet. On level 5 i havent been over 1050 EGT yet. Level 5 will lightup the rear tires on my dually. I still have the stock exhaust. I got a really good deal buying from the DTR store also. send email or call to see waht the discount is. Or PM me.

Really smoooooth. Level 5 on the std box will have you edging out the Hemi 1500's.

Very nice, safe power when used with the attitude moniter. I like it alot better than the bullydog downloader. The low end usable power compared to the bddl is off the charts. Get one you will like it.

I have the hot version of the juice and can tell you that I love it! Very smooth and the cold engine protection feature is nice.

Edging out? On level 5, my truck will destroy a HEMI. It's around a full second quicker in the quarter mile.

As far as the 48re goes, I got to say that I am worried about mine. I have had my Juice w/ attidtude on for about 5 months and 20,000 miles. The tranny definetly slips easier now than when I first put the Juice on. I haven't hammered on it a lot, but if you get it you will use it once in a while - it just can't be helped. I also tow a 9000lb load on occasion, and at first it would slip the tranny unless I tried to use level three. Now, if I'm not careful, it will slip the tranny on level1. At this point, I wish I would have waited to buy the Juice until I could afford to dump a couple grand into the tranny. Guess I'll just drive it till it goes out and worry about it then.

My first juice w/ attitude started throwing a check engine light. I was told the originial version for the 03 does that make sure you get the 1.02 version. Mine works great now. Love the Power.

Hoss,

Most of the ones we sell go with the overhead mount that goes above your rearview mirror, next to the headliner, we have the A pillar one too but the overhead sells more.

Mark, do you have a picture of that? The one on your website doesn't appear to be working at the moment. Actually, I don't even see where it is offered on your site.

The A pillar mount is a really good fit. Also, then the wires go right out to the engine compartment - I'm not sure where you'd run the wire for the overhead unit. Also, with the A pillar mount, it's pretty much right there. You barely have to take your eyes off the road to see it. I wouldn't want mine mounted anywhere else.
